I Am Your Beast VR is out now on Steam, the second release under Flat2VR Spark, the label Flat2VR Studios runs for licensing outside developers' non-VR games into official VR editions. This one comes from Strange Scaffold, adapting Xalavier Nelson Jr.'s 2024 spy-action game — currently sitting at an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam — into a PC VR release.
The VR version keeps the flat game's speed-focused structure: more than twenty contained combat missions, each graded D through S based on completion time, with weapons that double as thrown projectiles once they run dry instead of forcing a reload animation. Traversal, including the original's tree-climbing, moves to the thumbstick rather than a full hand-over-hand grab system, keeping the whole campaign clearable in under an hour for players chasing better ranks rather than a first playthrough.
Early reaction has been positive, with reviewers calling out the combat as a highlight while noting it leans closer to an excellent VR mod than a ground-up native VR design — a fair trade for a launch built around fast, replayable missions rather than deep physical interaction.
