POSTAL 2 Redux now has a release window: spring 2027, landing on PS5 (with PlayStation VR2 support), PS4, PC via Steam, and Meta Quest, with additional platforms to follow. The Kickstarter-funded rebuild is a joint effort between Impact Reality, original developer Running With Scissors, Flat2VR Studios, and Team Beef, and it funded in a single day.
Rebuilt in Unity 6, Redux keeps the sandbox chaos of the original intact while overhauling the systems underneath it — smarter NPC AI, rebalanced combat, physics-driven environments, higher-resolution textures, and expanded interactions with fan-favorite companion dog Champ. "Players decide how each day unfolds, playing their way from mild-mannered to mayhem, in a living, reactive world," said Impact Reality CEO Jasmine Uniza.
Running With Scissors founder Vince Desi described the project as bringing "modern technology and game systems to that original vision" — a description that applies just as well to the VR side of the release, which folds Redux into the same co-development pipeline that's already carried WRATH: Aeon of Ruin VR and FlatOut 4: Total Insanity VR to headsets.
